![]() That's the valve cal number which controls the speed of the valve opening and closing when controlled by a Raven controller. Then I wonder why my weed control wasn't working, putting ~10% less chemical down per acre. It always said you were empty, counting down from 300 gallon, but there would always be 25-30 splashing around it the tank. Sprayed 360 acres with it and it worked better than the raven controller in the dash. I understand autoswath would not have anything to do with this.Īs it is now, it is working with whatever I put in. Let me look at the machine again, and I'll try to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm sure it's there, just never needed to look for it. 2170.Īm I to be looking for a number on the Flow Control Valve? To tell you the truth, I have never seen this valve. In the included picture, I used the Flow Meter cal number on it. Posted 16:21 (#4599742 - in reply to #4599433) Subject: RE: Direct Command/ Raven Flow meter. Auto swath just shuts the boom sections off for you. Internally the Raven divides by 10 and really uses 71.0 to do the math.Īuto swath would not be involved with the meter cal confusion. If I ran it with my Raven 450, I would enter in 710. My meter cal is 71.0 with the Ag Leader Direct Command. I use an RFM60 with my Fast sprayer and Direct Command. As KRK says 71.4 would be right in the ballpark for a RFM 60 or the older RFM55. You want to look for a number on the flow meter. Since you said that number was on the valve that would make sense. I agree, the number that you are using is more suitable as a Valve Cal for a Raven system and not a Flow Cal. Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. I would take it to your local Raven dealer and they should be able to take a look at it and fix the internals if needed. Could be rotor is worn enough, magnets on the rotor could be gone/partially gone, could be rotor shaft is wore that its not spinning freely and hanging up inside the housing. More than likely there is an issue with the flowmeter. Posted 11:42 (#4599381 - in reply to #4599142) Subject: RE: Direct Command/ Raven Flow meter. So my question is why was it so far off? So glad I had time to play with autoswath, before actually spraying the first tank. I have adjusted it down to 71.4 and when the Integra says tank has 0 gallons left, I can go about another 20' and I loose pressure, so I'm satisfied. I have played with the number on each tank of pre emerge in the field. That got me down to a cal number of 78.ĭid it again and got it down to a cal number of 72.6. Adjusted using acres sprayed and what integra said was sprayed. I had 100 gallons in tanks and should have sprayed 10 acers, but I only got 4 and tank was empty. Early this spring I used water and sprayed headland and then made short passes into and out of the headland to adjust autoswath. ![]() Tag hanging in cab had a calibration number of 2130. Using Integra and during the setup, instructions said to divide the calibration number by 10. Installed a direct command system into the Spra-coupe last fall.
